Apologies, first, if I’ve seemed quiet lately, but I’m working furiously on book 2, and this post is just to explain a little about how that’s going down.
So, good news! The City and the Dead is almost finished! The book has been through developmental edits, multiple rewrites, and now just needs a few passes for consistency before my work is essentially finished. Soon it’ll be ready for copy-editing, typesetting, the cover design, and all the other boring stuff I need to do in order to get it on Amazon.
The bad news is that there has been a bit of a delay, but only a short one – the book will now be available first quarter 2018, and thus should be on my table any any live events I do next year. I hope this isn’t a disappointment to any of you who were hoping to get the book in December, but I promise you won’t have to wait very long.
More news – I’m going to be running an IndieGoGo pre-order campaign. For those who don’t know, IndieGoGo is like Kickstarter. This is to help fund some of my overheads (such as typesetting & cover design). I’m going to have a bunch of reward tiers that cover both the new book and the previous one, along with some merch. It’d make a huge difference to me if you guys could jump on this; I’ll have more info just after the New Year.
In the meantime, I’m going to be posting some artwork and character spotlights, as well as a new “landing page” for people who are new to what is now going to be called the World of Orochi series, so follow and/or check back in the coming weeks to see those.
Thanks for your patience everyone! Just weeks now!
